One Entire Perfect Day (3:32)
Well At Night (3:31)
Summit (Just Stone) (3:21)
Egg Story (3:52)
Should I Ask? (4:05)
Into Dust (3:14)
I started to envision my own "entire perfect day" as the day when I'm brave enough to speak out loud, without the fear of being judged.
"I'm not out of things to say,
I don't mind them not to pay
Attention to the words I've saved
For one entire perfect day"
I always saw the color orange while listening to the song.
The Perfect Day described in the song is the day i tell my message to the entire world, no fear. Due to overcoming this fear, even if nobody understands or doesn't pay attention, I'll be ok with it and I'll be ok with myself.
The lyrics were born from a very disturbing visit to ANAF (National Agency for Fiscal Administration). When I got there, the place was crowded. So many people just like me, tired and anxious, gathered together with one thing in common: solving some fiscal bullsh*t at 7 in the morning. Yet nobody was wiling to say hi or getting to know the new temporary friends.
Once I left, i kept wondering:
What would have happened if i said "hey, how you doin' today?", in regard of our situation?
Same goes for many other social situations in which strangers with same goals gather together, yet refuse to talk about it, thinking they don't have anything in common.
"It's like we've never been here before,
But we just decided to ignore"
This stuck with me.
The riff dates back November 2023, heavily inspired by the viral "breakcore in a nutshell" meme.
It was my first contact with this EDM jungle-inspired subgenre.
Inspired by both PoorDesign's goofy animation and the crazy breaks of hkmori's "anybody can find love (except you.)", I tried to chop some piano, programmed some fast paced drums, and at the end it sounded nothing like the refference. But it still sounded like You Arrive.
Around august 2024, Stefan joined in to record the ambiance on a real violin.
Later down the line, i asked Radu to track real drums for the song.
To this day, this might be my most personal song yet, with most instruments recorded through actual microphones. No programmed drums or midi synths. Pure mic'd guitar cabinet energy.
In september 2025, all three of us got together for the first time to bring "One Entire Perfect Day" to life in a raw and energetic live performance inside the studio.
Fun facts:
The CRT "effect" in the music video is not a filter, it's an actual video recording of a real CRT TV.
The light leaks and flashing effects in the music video are manually recorded in camera using a bottle of water and a light.
The flashing scribbles in the music video are actual photos of my handwriting.
Well at night has a fun story to which I relate a lot.
It started back in October 2021 as one of the first songs me and sergiu wrote after our first EP as a band. I always liked to call it an "ode to sleep".
"I haven't slept in days or nights"
Color of the song: Blue. Changed later when i started seeing green while listening to the song.
After Sergiu's departure from the band in 2024, the song went through a couple more iterations, before arriving to the formula you can hear today: A low tuned, weirdly structured song about ambition through problems like sleep deprivation, insomnia, depression and anxiety disorder.
The lyrics clearly state:
"Heavy incline, my head is stuck on a notion i mind no more than ever"
and
"It's one in the morning and i'm once again not sleeping.
There's only one coffee that's pumping my volume up
And it's higher now, no clipping"
I envisioned the late night work as the ideal time to be active for someone with creative intents. Either making music or drawing, night always felt sooting for creation, even when i was tired. The first verse depicts an ongoing guitar recording session after a bunch of mental struggles, only to find peace at the end.
Gabrielle-Suzanne Barbot de Villeneuve (Portrait, 1759)
"With my mind and my fist, found my reason to exist.
I'm no Gabrielle Suzanne, but I'm on duty with my beast".
A fun reference to Gabrielle-Suzanne Barbot de Villeneuve's legendary book "Beauty and the beast". My beast is my instrument. I found my reason through hard work, through my mind and through my fist. A bit cliche, but i liked the phrasing.
Second verse goes right against the creative process itself. You sometimes need to do work for other people who don't understand your creative direction and the effort put into your art.
"You ask me, I'll do it, I can't lose my whole unity of who I am, like sidequests to my game"
or
"you ask shit from me, pay the price MSRP"
By the end of the song, i like to imagine the sun is up and it's time to finally go to bed after a long exhausting night of dealing with angry clients instead of producing the art you were envisioning.
Egg story depicts a story of life. Or a story of death, depending on the state of the egg.
The song was created around October 2018, during my college years, and used to be called "song 34" (yeah, I used to only number my songs before giving them proper names).
The song's color is forest green.
Egg story tells the traumatic tale of a young boy who is now the God of his world. His human past still lingers inside his decisions. His heart dictates before his mind can process what's right or wrong.
The world he takes care of doesn't depict Earth, but a more ambiguous jungle-like planet with distorted and unclear bounds. We, humans, are used to little "oopsies" everyday, but a small mistake from a young God leads to the inevitable destruction of a whole world.
"Oh, I've flooded the sky,
There's no more rays of light
And no more labels on my mind"
He can't conceive his mistake of physically flooding the sky, while the labels on his mind are just accusations and lack of responses.
"Today the sea will open up and
Leave no other sun for me to see.
I think it's time to go, proceed!"
This is a disturbing imagery of an apocalyptic scenery, as a distorted sea border who is now also flooding into the sky swallows the sun itself.
Early concept "Egg Story" refference visual (Nicu Mihai, 2024)
"Oh, we've always denied
But now the time has come to see
The sun and sea collide"
The inevitable is happening. The sun is colliding with the sea. This is the equivalent of a sunset and the beginning of night. But here, it's much more, it's the end of everything as they've known it.
"Far, in the wild we're going,
Far, to the realms of sleeping men
Where the sun wasn't wise
And leaves among the lies
Of the world we've known"
The chorus is basically a desperation scene of him trying to escape to this new "realm of sleeping men, where the sun doesn't rise and leaves among the flies". This is meant to be seen as his literal emergency escape to a new reality, in a place where the dead sun rests, leaving the old world to be engulfed in destruction.
Author interpretation: I'm assuming his escape to a world where men sleep and the sun doesn't rise is the equivalent of him succumbing to death, accepting his mistake and paying the needed price.
